However, while the dance may appear very similar to a fast Foxtrot, its technique and patterns are distinct. The Quickstep followed hot on the heels of the Foxtrot as people began to dance the ‘Quick’ Foxtrot. Owing a lot of it’s more advanced hops and kicks to the Charleston the Quickstep is fun, lively and energetic. A popular dance with almost all dancers.
